Now that you’ve done it…

Now that you’ve done it, if you’re like me, you’ll know that you missed seeing something that was right in front of your face. Why? Because you were totally immersed in following the movement of the ball, which was fast and furious. And the fascinating thing is that you didn’t even realize you were not seeing it.

My question to myself and to you is this: how many other things are we not seeing?

The only way to tell is to SLOW DOWN. Which is what I’m practicing right now. In my morning meditation, I’m pre-paving the day ahead by visualizing myself moving at a pace that’s more honouring of myself as I go about my day. And I’m also giving up the habit of multi-tasking which I must admit, is hard. What I particularly like about not multi-tasking however, is the way it makes me more present to whatever I’m doing.
