Hi! Thanks for stopping by. I’m Karen Hood-Caddy, a multi-skilled, caring, give 110% kind of coach who will show you HOW to flip the gameboard on things that don’t serve you.

Let’s face it. Talk can’t create change. Not by itself. Most of us know that now. What’s driving us is beneath talk.

I will give you tools to go beneath the programming, so you can stop what’s stopping you (low self-belief, relationship issues, health problems, work dissatisfaction etc.) and then show you how to create satisfaction in any area of your life. I can do that. You can do that.

My Story

As a child, I didn’t grin very much. No wonder. I was born into an upper-middle-class family with two severely alcoholic parents. To make matters worse, my older sister was the apple of my father’s eye and my younger brother had the adoration of my mother, so I was the ‘lost middle child.’

This turned out to be a blessing because it catalyzed me to find my own way. I discovered the library and escaped into books. Biographies gave me hope that people could create what they wanted. Thomas Edison, Marie Curie, and Carl Jung were my heroes because they invented new worlds. I wanted to do that too. But what I wanted to invent was a new ‘me.’ As it was, I was almost pathologically shy, had debilitating insecurities, and never imagined I could create a life that would be soul-satisfying. It was all I could do to survive.

In high school and university (York U) I read voraciously, went into therapy, took courses, studied books on personal transformation, and became both a meditation and yoga instructor and an empowerment coach. I started to evolve. Now, instead of taking courses, I was giving them. As I did, I noticed that techniques that went beyond talking and involved modulating my energy field seemed to offer the best results in the quickest amount of time. Over the years, I studied dozens of different modalities for both the mind and body and became proficient at the ones I felt were most effective. My practice grew.

My Unique Approach:

I‘ve been working as a personal development coach for over 40 years and now know a LOT about how to help people disengage from what gets in their way so they can create lives that excite and satisfy them.

I teach people tools for transforming blocks that are stopping them from getting what they want and give them powerful strategies for creating what they DO want.

  • Working on both the internal impediments as well as the outer ones, which creates a powerful ‘double whammy’ for change.

My Promise

I work with real people living real lives that are full of challenges. I help them create the lives they want. That’s why so many people return to me repeatedly, often over years, as they grapple with new situations and problems.

There are 3 steps to the process:

  • Get a clear idea of what you REALLY want (Which is sometimes not what you think!)
  • Uninstall/Disable the internal patterns and neutralize the outer impediments that get in the way of you moving powerfully forward.
  • Design and implement a clear, actionable plan for creating immediate results.
  • Hold you accountable and help you have fun as you create what you want.

And On a Personal Note:

I am a living example of the processes I use. For half the year, I live in a snowy area in Ontario, Canada and for the other half, I live on a lake. I have created a career where I work with people all over the world, sometimes from a deckchair on my dock. I feel deeply blessed for my wondrous life.

Here are some things I love:

  • Swimming in a cool lake with my dog.
  • Learning cutting-edge processes to help people (& myself) let go of what impedes them so they can create soul-satisfying lives.
  • Plant-based food.
  •  I am trained in Meditation and Mental Fitness, Pranayama & Soma Breathwork, Inner Relationship Focusing, Self-empowerment, and a variety of somatic practices.
  • Writing (I have 9 books out, mostly fiction but some nonfiction.)
  • Aligning with what I call The Great Lovingness, the energy all around us that creates everything.
  • Aging well. I plan to be a WOW – a Wild Old Woman.

My personal goal is to become my most magnificent self.
