HOW IS LIFE CHALLENGING YOU?

Sometimes Life just throws tough stuff our way. When that happens, our job is to dig ourselves out of the muddy holes of disappointment, climb the craggy mountains of relationships or forge the uncertain terrain of loss whilst keeping an open heart and optimism.

The question isn’t IF we’re going to get tough stuff thrown our way–we will! The question is only how well we will deal with the tough stuff when it comes.

When life knocks you down, are you going to stay down? Okay, maybe you can pull yourself up and carry on, but can you do that with equanimity and grace or will you have an embittered heart?

In my experience, after 20 years of coaching people, people from every part of the world and people with every kind of problem, I’ve noticed that what makes it the biggest difference is s not so much the difficulty of the challenge but the quality of support. In other words, no matter what you’re racing, how painful, embarrassing or hurtful, if you have the support, you can get through it.
