If You’ve Had ‘Enough’, Start Breathing
Hello everyone. Sorry for the long break since my last post, but I was dealing with a big family health issue that is now resolved. Then I decided to redo my website and week after week passed with me not sending out a blog. Then I heard myself say, “Enough”. So, I reset myself with some breathing and now I”m back to this blog and you, my people.
What I love about breathing protocols is that they increase both my relaxation AND my focus, so it’s perfect for an energetic reset. And once my energy is right, it’s far easier to do the actions that I need to take.
A Guided Breathing Protocol To Help You Reset:
I’ve recorded one of my favourite guided breathing protocols called Box Breathing. All you have to do is click on the Audio below and follow along to experience it.
Box breathing is great for creating stability in both your mind and body. Its rhythmic and repetitive pattern can create deep relaxation in a relatively short period of time. It lowers blood pressure and cortisol and will quieten an overly active mind as well as great for anxiety.
Use it to prepare for meetings, to de-stress after difficult situations or to calm yourself before bed so your sleep is uninterrupted and rejuvenating.
Click on the Audio button below and we’ll do it together. The protocol will last 7 minutes but you can carry on for as long as you want to. And you can listen to this protocol as often as you like.
Here are a few tips to make it the best experience it can be.
- Sit instead of lying down. That will help you stay alert.
- Let your chest and belly rise with the inhale and fall with the exhale.
- When you breathe in, breathe through your nose, but when you breathe out, exhale through your mouth and imagine that you are pushing the air out a straw.
Just before we get started, I want to mention that I have a few openings for new coaching people. Is there something you’ve had enough of? Do you have the feeling that you need to get back on track? Or create a new track? Are you feeling discouraged by the way your life keeps playing out in the same ways that aren’t satisfying to you? (Remember the film Groundhog Day?)
Maybe you just want to be less reactive. Or you want to significantly step up your self-care. Or maybe you want to get yourself a more satisfying job. Or be happier in a certain relationship. Be less critical. Overall, you might wish you could feel more in charge of yourself and your life. Create a sense of soul-satisfaction.
All these desires are what people call me to help them create. And I do. And after a while, our coaching is complete. Which leaves spaces for new people. Would you like to be one of those new people?
If you’re wanting to make things different in your life and want to chat about how coaching might create that, contact me for a pressure-free chat about how coaching might benefit. Yes, I often use breathing protocols, but they are just one of many tools I use to kick-start people’s life creation. Karen@personalbest.org
Okay, it’s time to breathe.
